Goodby Washington DC, Hello New York City!

Day 3
As usual the day started very early, 6:15 to be exact! Breakfast at the hotel then on the bus, for the last time in DC.
It was the Memorials day. We saw the Korean, Viet Nam, Iwo Jima, and the Jefferson Memorials. We went to Ford's Theater, the site of the assassination of President Lincoln, then accross the street to the Peterson House, where the President died. After saying thank you and goodby to our tour guide, Adam Langley, we headed north of the Mason-Dixon Line to the Big Apple, Manhattan.
We settled in for the four hour trip having picked up box lunches, and setting up the DVD player for a couple of movies. Some of the kids got some much needed sleep.
All were awake when we first caught sight of the skyline of Manhattan. There was so much excitment that we were finally here. We met our tour guide, Lawrence near Chinatown, and Little Italy. We had an hour to shop before we left for dinner and the Empire State Building, our last stop of the night.
It's now 11:07, all tucked in bed, ready for a big day in the Big Apple.
P.S. I'm having problems with uploading the videos, so here are some stills for the time being.

  1. WOW! you guys are on the go every minute of the day. I know the kids are having a blast. I've been talking to Noemi every night and she's so happy to be there, seeing so much and learning at the same time. Thank you Mrs. Tuverson and Ms. Sassarego for doing this for our kids, they will always remember this wonderful experience. And thanks again, for sharing your trip with all us parents, I look forward to following this trip every evening. :) Goodnight!
